Party!!!

The Event:
Last May 7 we finally had our Christmas vacation company party at Island Garden City of Samal (Samal for short).

The Team:
Rodney, Den, Henry, Ivan, Markie, Al, Shawn, Salatiel, Randy and me, of course!

The Ride:
We ferried from Davao City to Babac. After a backbreaking, very bumpy ride from Babac to Kamudmud, we were told that we didn't have a reservation so we had to ride all the way back to Babac again and ended up at Coco Beach Resort. Coco beach was recommended to us by a hitchhiker we dubbed The Scorpion King because of a prominent scorpion-cum-yin-and-yang tatto on his right deltoids. We got ourselves settled fast because it's already nightfall.

The Menu:
Grilled bangus, panga ng tuna, pork kilawin, tuna kinilaw, prawns, pork barbecue and ripe mangoes for dessert and mango juice to wash it all up.

The Drinks:
Fundador brandy, Red horse beer and Red Wine.

What happened:
Well what do you expect? When thirsty camels get together, there's bound to be a lot of...drinking, i guess. We started off with beer instead of brandy. Someone finally opened the brandy and that's when things got interesting. Ivan got into singing duets with a widow about 20 years his senior. Salatiel, our official gunner, somehow started to lead us (unsuccesfully) into believing that he's been putting ice instead of small pebbles into our drinks. Then he kissed Shawn and crawled on his knees on the sand after he got so drunk. We did have our revenge though (See Salatiel Tragedy).

Whats missing?
Gurls.

The Morning After:
I was the first one up. And after an envigorating swim the throbbing in my head finally subsided. I started to work on what's left in the cooler. After everyone was up, we broke fast on eggs and corned beef. After a few more swims and beers and wine, we finally went home happy and tired and yet...still uhaw pa sa camel.
